I ordered zeta handguards with flashers and plan to run led spots where the factory flashers sit now... My question is when y'all put the zeta led flashers in did you run resistors in line or change the blinker switch to a led specific ... Thanks
Not Zeta's, and not a TR650, however I am running LED turn signals on my TE310. I bought an LED flasher from Sicass Racing and it works great. http://sicassracing.com/store/produ.../sicass_smart_flasher_led_turn_signal_flasher
If you off road at all and drop the bike your turn signals are very susceptible to damaged wiring. Make sure you include a small loop of wire that will allow for "spin" of the handguard if you drop the bike. I had LED's on my DRZ and they were great. I just left the blinkers blink faster. I thought it got the cagers attention better.
Thanks for the quick responses ... I can't seem to find a part number comparison between the 449/511 vs terra flasher to see if that one will work you used on your 310...good thinking about putting slack in the wires in case the guards get moved due to a drop..
12000 miles no issues. Just cut stock out and wire in new....thats all. I had flashers on and the cam caught that image.
I've done it both ways with the Zeta, new flasher relay and resistors. Can't say one is any better than the other, as both worked fine.
Are these the Zeta's? I like the lines, any possibility of a shot showing their bar mounts, or the brand you chose to mount to, thanks!
I've got Highway Dirt Bike (clicky) hand guards on the way. They should be here on Monday. This is the first time they have built a top clamp specifically for the TR650 HDB products are really built to last. The guard wraps around the bar and mounts to the top clamp. http://www.highwaydirtbikes.com/HDB_Shop/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=catshow&ref=handguards_00
Here is a good video..... View: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1XrPMy5pl8I&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D1XrPMy5pl8I
I just cut a hole in my cycra guards when I got the hankerin' for a new headlight. No relays, just wired directly into the stock signal harness. Works fine, blinks at same rate. The lights I bought are replacement led's for the zeta guards. With shipping it cost me less than $30. As far as a review goes, there are much brighter LED's out there. In the daylight these aren't very visible.
I like that head light how many lums?....who makes? Do you have pics of mount? Sorry for the highjack...of thread
Installed them today ... To answer my question no special led blinker relay or inline resistors needed..they blink at normal rate... Pic caught the hazards on
