And don't be cheap on the oil , and change it a lot... Great motor, pulled away from a bunch of 2 stroke 500's on mine at Unadilla,
    last year...

Belray 4 stroke, but any premium oil works.. And yea not much grease makes it on those bearings

I bought my 510 from the original owner when it was just over 1 year old and he had been using BelRay 4 stroke racing oil since it was new. I continued on with the BelRay until the 5 year mark when the motor was wore out and in serious need of an overhaul. I had George Erl at Up-Tite go thru the motor and he suggested I run Spectro petrolium/synthetic blend 4 stroke oil so I switched over to the Spectro and have been using it ever since with excellent results.

I saved a worse clutch cover on my 400WRX. JB Weld does a great job as long as you don't break the glazeover. If you do, just get some 5 minute epoxy and seal the broken glaze. I had to fill the seal pocket and have it machined. It restored the seal pocket perfectly.

Nice score! Keep going cause I don't think there is a Husky Museum in Canada!

That means mrs gets a new dishwasher, furniture of equal or always greater value.

I always figure double the amount........ $1k for bike and $1k for mrs!

    Teasin!

When JB Weld is applied it smooths out and develops a gloss. I refer to that as a glazeover. I have done exactly what you just did and it is not an issue as the repair is not subjected to fluids. You can paint over blended JB and I would recommend that.

However, if the repair will be subjected to fluid like oils or antifreeze I would not sand or I would apply epoxy over the JB to reseal if I chose to sand to blend. I believe I had been told when you sand down the glaze (glossiness), it will absorb the liquid and possibly swell. This applies predominately to inner case repair where there is no reason to sand unless in the case of my situation with a crankwell repair on my 390 engine.

Been busy throwing parts at it.
Made a few things too, chain wear pad and baffles for my hollow mufflers.
Found the carb is messed with, had no rod to hold the float linkage and no needle in the seat, omg cause it fired up ok
When i did the wheel bearings i was shocked its like brand new in there, bright yellow foam and all.
