There is 558 active members in just 5 weeks, 610 members total.
445 different posts, how active was this section after 5 weeks?
I see around 20 (maybe) active members here posting in the left kickers section.
Not 1 dumb question or reply like you get from some on here. (no names, not worth it)
The search function works great in the group, i cant even find my own stuff here unless i click through 40 pages of the wrong stuff.

Its not for everyone, i get it.
Its been growing very fast and i like it.

I can't argue with that at all. But the circle is pretty much closed here and the new people can join, but not really enter the circle and participate. They go where they can find something...
Last time I bring it up, so Merry Christmas and a Husky New Year!

The more the merrier on the Husky brand. Both are great resources of info/knowledge for guys like me. Can do enough mechanically to keep my bike in good, sound condition and race/ride it. Master mechanic I'll never be for sure, those that are I appreciate their knowledge even when it's over my skill level.

Well, if there is a no interest trend coming on Cafe Husky and everyone starts going to Facebook. I probably should stop posting my stuff. It's kind of a pain anyways.

Joined Cafe Husky when I bought my 82 XC250. When I got stuck I posted questions and got all the information I needed. I'd rather have a small number of members that know what they're talking about than hundreds that don't. I'd rather be riding than spend hours looking at pictures on Facebook

    Yes.

    That is him.

There are some ways Cafe Husky and the traditional forum are better than Facebook, and there are some ways Facebook is better. I created a group for Vintage Husky's that now has 5400 members. The two biggest advantages Facebook has is sharing pictures and the user base of 2 Billion. It seems to be easier for Europeans to find a Facebook group than Cafe Husky, and there are a lot of members in my group from Sweden. I'll never leave Cafe Husky, and I totally understand thate Facebook is not for everyone, but I have gotten and learned information from the Facebook groups that I didnt here.

If Café Husky is having challenges for new members, what can we do as a community to improve the situation? Is it just a bit of programming keystrokes or a bigger issue?

Would hate to see the wealth of information and member comradery here being passed over due to something that can be fixed.

Kinda like our 'old' bikes - if they need help, we fix them - not pushing them aside for the easier newer ride.

I quite enjoy your posts, but I don't think there's a "no interest trend", more of an inability of new members to use the forum due to it's current issues.

I wasn't aware of these issues with Cafe Husky until I read about it in this post, and if it continues to go on in it's current form with new members unable to participate, then it will surely die a natural death.
I don't believe that anyone wants that to happen, so the obvious question is, how do we fix it?
    Tony.

I joined this site, Dec 17th 2016. In that year, I have taken a piece of crap 1972 450CR and made it look and run excellent! I've found that trying to get a POC 1973 360RT into the same condition is an hell of a expensive proposition. Still I bought a POC 1983 500XC because I've seen the ones built here and I want one of those. All the questions and advice, some marginally helpful, some playful, some off subject and some, nail on the head. Have made me a better mechanic and INFO SHARER. Ever wonder what happens to a ship without a Captain? The oceans are full of the remnants. Also I got booted from Facebook on my Birthday quiet a few years ago, when one of my ex girlfriends wished me a Happy Birthday. My wife made being on Facebook EXTREMLY UNPLEASANT! I hope this place stays and we can come up with a way to make it thrive so other C- class posters can get the same help that I 20170901_082028_resized.jpg 'VE RECEIVED. Chris
