Agreed Steve, thank you for creating it. Great to see member numbers increasing steadily too, I think you may be surprised how many of these survived.

The group is over 300 :notworthy:
The content is nothing like i ever seen before. Been really eye opening and fun and so many cool guys coming out of the wood work. There IS some of the old riders/racers from all over the globe on facebook and when they pull out the pics and stories, would be shame not too be a part of seeing and chatting with them.
Its cool to see a few non FB new users asked to join the group, i could see that they just joined FB that day for it.

Unfortunately times change and social media is supplanting forums as a way to communicate about dirt bikes. Due to the owner's personal issues, this site can't really grow and FB is really simple for people who use it. Multiple cool Husky Groups and Pages!

Fb will never replace the forum . Fb is really only for perving at bikes . Semi good fir buying /selling parts . And remotely useful for simple questions that have already been answered 500 times

Most of the vintage Husky bike and parts sales have moved to FB groups. Steve's FB Group has helped in this respect in just the few days it has existed. I've been on here since the start and will always be here, but to the new people who can't get full privileges.... This site has no use at all.

I don't like being exposed and accesable on facebook. Some people I want to forget or not think about. Maybe the husky fans can be directed to cafe husky from there.

for sure, i miss out on some stuff..and times do change. yes, im the guy who has a very active laptop at home and samsung rugby flip phone i carry. no smart phone for me my friend. i know, i know, sooner or later i wont be able to buy groceries without an app right?

i wont name them but i have a good many forums i like to visit, much like this one where we like a certain thing and can hang out in "privacy" and only deal with like minded fellows. i have no desire to be on facebook and only have relationships with family or friends who only want a relationship if im on facebook too..

that being said, im truly happy you guys are getting out there and making more connections for the huskies, wherever it is..

I was/am an anti-FB guy BUT the amount of Husky and VMX pages is awesome. It has in fact replaced forums is why i joined up. You can just ignore all the other bs and friend requests from people you don't know or care to communicate with. Since I don't live on it and post my every action or bowel movement like some of those clowns it's not really an issue. Social media has really taken the world over even if us dinos don't accept it. WARNING, it can be very hazardous to your checkbook with all the Husky stuff out there for sale that is popping up now

Always evolving.... I can remember when it all was on TT Exotics Forum! I said it was time for a Husky only forum and many people howled that that wasn't needed and would be detrimental to the other Exotic brands. We only got it, because the owner's brother bought a Husky and things improved a bunch for Husky owners. This site came along for various reasons and things got better again. We all do what we like! I like FB... Dirt bikes, horses, dogs, old cars and forget the rest!

Liquid cooled??? Is that like when I ride my 74 125WR through a deep water crossing???

Anyway...I also don't "DO" Facebook. However, I have created an account. No personal info. No friends. No chat. But I do check about 4 or 5 "favorite" sites including the one for our AHRMA Mid-Atlantic Region XC series. That's about it...
