If Acerbis makes the std tank then for crying out loud WHY WHY WHY cannot they make
a bigger one as an option,is that not what they do for a living, make plastic parts, whats wrong with the factory R and D Department, there is a demand in the market, someone needs a kick in the arse.

Why this could not have been out BEFORE I gave the wife my Christmas wish list!! How about two strokes, any gadgets for two strokes? Maybe a power valve adjuster for Tim's WR 250? TC/TXC forks? Good Stuff and thanks for sharing it.

I gotta throw this out there,,, I have looked carefully at my tank when removed and have seen nothing to indicate the the OEM tank is from Acerbis,,,,,,,
on all my former KTMs, you could always find find the A molded in. on later KTMs I have seen Greger molded into some of the plastics (must be another plastic supplier to KTM).
What I am getting at is everyone keeps saying the OEM Husky tanks are Acerbis but I have my doubts without direct proof. Does this matter??? Acerbis has never made Husky plastics until this latest 09 catalog. As for this big tank by all indications and hearsay it is an Acerbis item,,, but who cares as long as it does the job I've got the IMS still unused,,,I do need to test it out but I don't like big tanks so will use it only when planning a longer ride. hope the hard parts are soon available to everyone.

Acerbis has made husky plastic for years, it just has been propietary so they couldn't sell it to anyone but husqvarna.

Propietary means Husky paid for the tooling meaning they are the only ones able to sell it. With the lack of money in the past only what was needed was ordered, this will change and get much better just takes some time. Later George

Acerbis UK confirmed today that the larger capacity Husky tanks are still in the planning stage, expected to go to production early next year... have to wait a bit longer then!

Yep... although I don't quite understand the 'busted' icon when I sign in as dave p! The Husky world isn't that big, unfortunately.

Who knows me in Ireland then?

funny thing i was just reading a copy of tbm where they tested a couple of 2-strokes against each other, a gas gas, husky and ktm I think and the article mentioned how stoked you were that the husky did the fastest lap times ..then i logged in here and saw the name again.

i bought my last bike from you guys this earlier this year after Huey from HM motorcycles called it quits. the exchange rate is starting to make them look attractive again this year

Off topic but an odd test that really.. WR250 was fastest bike on their special test by a considerable margin for the two faster riders yet we ended up third out of three. I may be wrong but surely the only way to win Enduros is to be fastest on the special tests?

Ref exchange rate - it's dire for us, great for you.. if you're in the market look to buy soon before the bikes go up! TAS are a dealer now in NI.

Apologies to all others for the thread hi jack...
