    Somehow there's still room on your bars for a cup holder. Where was that?

    OK.... thanks to everyone... Just bought a 511 model year 2013.. 136km 7K. i had a testrun on a 449 yesterday which was only 2 min. enough to go for the 511. BUT the 511 is not as Powerfull as the 510.. 510 was just raw power. Just the way i liked it. now iam gonna lock at my mapping.

    That is an amazingly cheap price (i bought my 310 "cheap" for ~11k in 2010). You couldn't buy a low kms jap bike for that. I would be looking at 7k selling my 310 second hand, although that is unlikely given the price Ktm is sending away the last of the huskys now.
    If you didn't already know the 511 isn't 500cc's, it's closer to 470cc's , your 510 was closer to 500cc's I think.
    I'm sure you will be happy with the 511 though, they are a good machine.

    Mapping matters a lot on 511s

    A properly mapped 511 is much more powerful than the old 510. The Kymco engine is very efficient and compact. The 511 needs a couple minor modifications, but is really reliable compared to the 510.

    Wish I would have bought the 449/511 instead of my 310. 310 is too twitchy on the bottom, and not enough pull in the midrange. You really have to keep it wound up to get anything out of it. Handles great, though.

    The mapping you just ordered works very well. A step further would be to install a powercommander.

    My 510 SMR was like an older Lamborghini. Holy crap power and tons of fun. Sketchy and finicky.
    My 449 was like an Audi. Great power, traction, and comfort, and more refined.
    I miss them both!!

    Thanks mate. :oldman: In fact I am also looking for advice about the mainteance schedule of my SWM, smoother clone of the 510 husky 09'. especially for valves fixing .
    THe book said every 2000k . I managed withe the local dealer in order to double ( maybe 5000° , if I make an oil plus filter change in the middle ( 2000 or a bit more) .
    The matter is not only that this guy is 150 k from home - by country roads - , but mostly i had to make it in the middle of Spain or Morocco for the first big ride with the SWM ;
    Which is more trail than enduro : minus 9 HP; different mapping, easyness at low speed.
    Around here , it seldom that a rider takes a modified enduro bike for a big ride like that -- I mean no pro for DAK' , no full caring ; truck 4WD, mechanics, best hotels .... think to orange :cool:
