    Might as well get a 310 kit if you are going to be replacing the cylinder and piston.

    For a 310 you need the piston, cylinder,crank(stroke is different), head bolts, timing chain and timing chain guides.

    I may be wrong, but I think the rod is just longer.

    I would love to know 100% on whts needed for 310 kit
    lso wondering if the 2012 model engine or any other 310 engine would fit, I need solid info before going ahead with something like that

    This is what you need to make it a 310 I did it to mine. I ordered parts for a 2011 te310.
    A 2012 310 will work in your bike.

    I ended up buying the race ecu and 12 port injector.
    Bike starts one kick and runs great.

    I think im just going to go with the factory 250 parts for now, But definitely for the next build ill look at the 310 kit,
    Ive quoted up all the parts from KTMparts.com nd they've come to smidge over 2k with free international shipping , Ive got all the parts i need in this order all i need is them to confirm stock then its ll good to go!!

    That's not surprising from what I've read. Try some local dealers for parts, or if you don't get anywhere that way, I'd call Danny at Zip Ty. Bills, or Halls here in Yank land.

    Finally got all the bits needed, Ended up being cheaper to buy complete crank and cylinder kits that buying bits individully, All genuine
    Parts sourced from Bills and NTB Racing NZ, Bills where by dar the cheapest world wide BUT a few bits were back ordered and NTB had them in stock

    Pretty happy with the casings too they're 2011 models so they are black
    Total cost for parts is $2600 AUD Still need to buy oil and coolant tho which ill be getting from Motul

    Use 0W40 and ZipTy coolant (Evans).

    0w40 you reckon? reckomended is 5 or 10/40... so not really sure
    Was thinking maybe just going with Bel ray oils for now
