  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

ZipTy Suspension Tuning

Looking for info on ZipTy suspension service. They are heavily involved in husqvarna, so I'm thinking they would do a good job on the suspension. Bike is a 2007 TE510. Front is extremely harsh, and back is almost too soft and not enough damping.

Anyone have experience with the tuned 50mm forks? Do they get any better? Search returns results for newer bikes, but nothing that i could find for the older stuff.

Id much rather drive to LA than ship everything to LTR.

go for it, they were racing the the bikes with that suspension at the national offroad level. Ty is a Marzocchi man, you will not be dissatisfied.

I believe they were racing the twin chamber (red) forks. Yes?

Robert, did they work your suspension over on your past bikes?

Email sent, awaiting response.

My 2008 TXC450 was done by Les at LTR with system services from my local sponsor shop.
My 2011 TE310 was done full everything kitted Race Tech with shock rebuild, fork services and further updates by ZipTy Racing, my 2013 TXC310R was 100% ZipTy Racing.
My 2014 TE300 has ZipTy Racing Forks with a WP Factory services Trax shock

ZipTy has done a great job on my bikes and friends bikes. You get exactly what you ask for. LTR is good to and his setups are very plush for trail riders.

+1 for ZipTy. Another happy customer. I am sure there are others, but I won't be going anywhere else until Ty hangs up his caliper and micrometer for good.
