• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

On the above foto with the brake stop, can you check if the race shop has a brake pushrod and "heim" joint assembly laying around in old race spares? (just to the left (aft) of the yellow arrow/ brake stop piece)
If so I need one and will take a brake stop too (my card is on file).

Working on my ex-TXC450** and broke the adjuster/threaded portion of the "ball" joint into the master cylinder pushrod, it was corroded in place. Plus the OEM stop is crapped out too. I had the ZTR brake stop one on this bike but transferred it to my newer red huskys and sold it with the bike.

PS for those that don't know, as the red anodizing fades, a red permanent marker sharpie works great to restore the original red look.

**Installed a new ZipTy Racing Clutch slave cylinder with 7602 Slave piston to bullet proof the clutch system, which failed during our SWM test ride (SWM 500, 300 and Husky TXC450).

Hey Huskynoobee- will these fit your 449? (if so, then they'll fit my bike... but they look slightly different)

Yes, the 310 masters are the same part# IIRC. The Brembo bolt pattern for the cover is darn near universal across most of their applications. That's why Ty went ahead with this design. I've seen them on Husky, KTM, Bergs, etc.

So are both pictured included or if not how do we specify color selection on your site before completing checkout? Confusion is the only thing holding me back from a purchase. thanks

I'd hold off and call. I'm planning to give 'em a call for the same thing (...and discuss the $11 shipping charge; don't forget calif tax either. lotsa places down in socal are at 9%)

or add a note or email them what you want.

Sorry guys, forgot to respond to this. It's probably best to call the shop and check if the color of your choice is available for the Ram mount covers. If I remember correctly, there were more blue covers in the warehouse. I haven't been able to go to the shop in a couple of weeks due to demands at work and other commitments.

Tyler-

Did you ever get an answer? I've called the shop to ask about shipping & tax, but keep getting the v-mail. I'll try again tomorrow.

Hey, I finally got through (using the 2nd number- Mike in the back handled it) and I pulled the trigger. Came to $31 & some change after all was said and done.

Mike said they had plenty of both black and blue caps.

thanks Huskynoobee for coordinating this.

The covers are made to accept a ram ball which is not included. Sorry if the pics are misleading.

The ram balls are usually in stock though if you want to include one with your order along with double take mirrors.

I won a set of touratech adventure mirrors which would thread into the cover without a ball, that's why I was asking. Thanks folks

yep, no RAM ball. very nicely made- the black seems powder-coated, not anodized. I'm *guessing* the threads are M10, which is fairly standard IIRC.
