• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Zip Ty Davis (repost? perhaps but worth it)

Quite the resume!! Nice guy too. Just got my suspension back from the Zip Ty Store..Putting on the bike now. Ty did a mod for me. I gave them my stock KYB forks of my 2013 YZ250. They used my tubes and put in the Marzocci 48PFP's cartridges... Ty said for off road I cant go wrong...

Cant wait to try:banana:

I do not understand why Ty Davis is not the OFFICIAL go to guy on everything Husky He know more and does more for the advanment of Husky then any one I know Yes there are guys at KTM that can answer your question but there are many of us who really want to get results from the White, Blue and Yellow company not a orange company. I keep hearing Husky is a stand along company different from KTM but who are the race tecs at Husky

Ty is the Man****************************************
I am always amazed by his knowledge and the fact that he will share.
Every time I have been out at his place, He has taken the time to just talk to me like I was an equal.
Just two guys talking dirt bikes. Happens every time.
I am an old fat bald guy working on bucket list items, but Ty has stopped doing what ever he was doing to talk to me and give advice.
Never has he talked down to me, but as a friend trying to help.
In my eyes, Ty is a class act. Top Shelf.
If you have never had the the chance to meet Ty, I highly recommend making the trip, you will not be disappointed.

The guy still has fun riding/racing dirtbikes, thats the key. He is still right square in the middle of the offroad world, as rider/ developement guy and true friend of the sport/hobby. He knows what works, what's bullet proof and doesnt suffer foolish stuff. Cant wait to see him blaze the 40 + class at the Tecate Enduro...or maybe race the "kids" in the Open class.

Whats really embarrassing is that I have a foto from the same era (taken at Carlsbad raceway)... and I look more like the girl,
goofball me with the same type blu stretchies and a purple sort of ty dyed tee shirt and worse hair by far!!!..........at least Ty is in riding gear as professional rider.

I double dare you to post it.

I think I found some old videos on the internet of him riding as a kid on a 65 or 85 cc bike that was a bike that previous child prodigies had ridden. They just rebuild them and keep the mystique going...;)

Yeah, the wife thinks he's cute and kept sort of bragging she had breakfast or coffee with him up at the Mammoth Motocross.

Yeah, I wanna see too.

1992 SRA GP at Carlsbad Raceway (most excellent day after springtime rain) Air Hammer Swede Husky 1986 510TX

Teal spandex shorts, long hair on top short on sides, flock of seagulls doo...Pink tee with a story-----(my friend's start up biz with heat sensitive ink tee shirts, the shirt changed colors like a mood ring with heat and cold it went from purple to pink or vice versa I dont remember now.). and I actually went out and recovered my broken rear fender from the course (dont know why?)
