  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC Zeta Pro Handguard with Integrated Signals

Wadzy

Husqvarna
AA Class
Anyone tried these integrated signals with handguards? I love the idea of minimizing away the signals and the look of these. I'm wondering if anyone has installed these and if you notice the flash rate speed up going from bulbs to LED?

Also I thought that if I'm doing this mod I'd try and turn the integrated signals into running lights for increased visibility. Stock FE's do not have running lights and the lights only alluminate when flashing. Wondering if anyone else tried tackling this one.

I'm running them with a BRP mount. Fits perfect. Ihave both front and rear LEDs now.

Could be a little brighter for a flasher but since it's more "to be legal" than actual useful flasher I can live with that.

I replaced the stock flasher relay in front behind the headlight with a LED specific one for 10-15$ from amazon.

You also need to remove the light bulb in the flasher indicator beside the speedo or you'll end up with 4-ways.

I don't run these but Sickass racing or Tusk. They are not DOT approved if that is what you need. They are also not as bright as others or the DOT stuff. I have yet to break one. I have the flush mount ones for the rear.

As I posted in the other thread where you asked about them, I've been running the Zeta protectors on Cycra guards on my SM610 for seven years and love them. By reports that I've received they're exceptionally visible and clear.

Cheers Jon and thanks~!
