Yet another sherco I'd like to ride.

Seems Sherco is growing into other arenas of motosport. Here's another sherco I wouldn't mind spending some time with. Although it isn't near as sexy wearing green as blue/yellow I'd still give her a tickle.

I think it's just graphics to match Arctic Cat colors.

The real question, does it come with a swingarm and wheels too?

that snowbike isn't in production yet. the one you see is a PROTOTYPE. no wheels or swingarm. it will be a purpose built snowbike.

So, if a basic Timbersled conversion is about $6500, and A Sherco is around $8000, that's around $14k. For that kind of cash you can go with the 180hp turbo charged sno cross set up sled.

The pricing will be something to see if they can beat that.

Yes, money wise they are close to the same price. But after spending a good amount of time on a timbersled the last couple of years. Building a KTM 300 timbersled now. I would say that comparing a timbersled to a snowmobile is like comparing a trials bike to a superbike. They are both fun, but built for completely different things. Snowbikes are fun in tight trees and narrow nooks and crannies where you wouldn't dare take a snowmobile. Snowmobiles are a blast when you have room to let all those ponies loose.

never rode a "snow bike", mines alot of fun with trelleborgs and studs tho. sleds are a real blast and are unlike anything else..

A couple things I thought were interesting about the pics are the front spindle that attaches the ski to the forks appears to be directly off a timbersled snowbike. Or at the very least a close copy of one. Timbersled is owned by Polaris, a direct competitor to Arctic Cat. The other thing is why a Sherco? Suzuki has supplied engines to Arctic Cat for years. Makes sense to me that they would use a Suzuki 450 in stead?

you need to read up on Arctic Cat. they are in their last couple of years with the suzuki contract. they partnered with yamaha in 2014 for engines and they build a few models for yamaha. they will cut ties with suzuki within 5 years. the snow bike was under wraps and didnt want yamaha knowing what they were doing. hence the SHERCO deal.
