• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Has been sorta cold (for our area, at least) for the last few weeks. the storms have gone and the temperatures have gone up. I went for a little afternoon trail ride at a (sort of) local spot that I used to ride at all the time. I don't seem to get out there very often anymore unless I'm on a trail maintenance detail or riding my trials bike. I liked this shot, so I'm going to share it with you.

Pretend that it isn't a green machine in this picture. :D

Ditto, thanks for sharing. Nice to see some blue sky in the background for sure.... Still see a lot of those KLX's out there grinding away happily on the trails up here.

I have a KLX, but the bike in the picture is a 1986 KDX200 C1.;)

I'm trying to pretend but nothing happens... it's greener than anything I've ever seen. Maybe some Photoshop?:lol::cheers:

But now the creek looks like it's been contaminated with coal.:busted:
Ooooops! Now the EPA will ban riding there! I should have done a better job editing!

I like it, dirt bikes swim up stream to spawn just like like salmon and steelies. And that's the exact bike i really wanted, (couldn't have) back then.

Yes, there is some great trials riding there. Here's some now.
We are trimming some brush on the rocks in this picture, as we are the custodians of this trail (and really all the trails in that OHV area).

I like it (the fiddie remark), and that is the exact bike that I wanted too, and it still is...so I actually have two of them, althought the other one is a recently purchased work in progress.

dang I neeeed to get out there again. the 450 tractor loves that stuff (the pilot does too!!). Conditions are looking very nice on the local granite.

Ya know, I spend so much time at McCain these days, I sort of forgot how many technical sections and rock gardens there actually are over at CC. I can get worn out in about half the time on the terrain at Corral.:p

Look girl, you really need to stop posting these awsome, trips of your's. I have a life, other things I like to do, sailing for one. Everytime you post
your stuff, I get all excited and want to go ride.

Really keep up the good work, What you post and write, makes me feel like Im almost there with you guys.
Mike

Mix a few pine trees in and I'd swear you were riding the Rubicon Trail.... It is a very nice pic although the terrain looks
a little hairy for me and my tank.... I mean bike.

Goshdarn, I just figured out how to multi-quote on the old forum and now I don't know how to do it on the new one.
But thanks to all for the compliments and nice remarks.
