• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

X-Roads of the Rockies Dual Sport Ride August 19-20 2017

Have you ever wanted to ride motorcycles in Colorado and the Rocky Mountains?

But don't know where to ride?
Or stay, eat or get fuel?
Or you just want to ride somewhere different?
We may have the answer.

We have reserved the Fairgrounds From Friday August 18th until Tuesday August 22nd so you may arrive early and stay late if you wish. ADDED BONUS: Ride some Singletrack on Monday and Tuesday included with your Entry.

The concept for these adventures was to make these rides accessible to everybody. This is not one of the exclusive Colorado rides you've heard about where you need an invitation.

Exit Tours Dual Sport Rides are:

Dirt-oriented
Vary in elevation
Types of trails
Cover long distances with a roll-chart and/or GPS.

We have planned camping; meals and fuel stops that make a Rocky Mountain riding adventure stress free.

Riding with an Exit Tours Roll-Chart and/or GPS Track you can spend your day riding, not wondering which way to turn or where you are, with no worry about running out of fuel or where to eat.

Ahhhhhh, Now you have my attention. We were just talking about jumping in with a group on the next trip out to CO, as our travel group is getting a tad small.

Yup, working on the small crowd today. Been about 10 emails back and forth. One has posted a "snap shot" of his outlook calendar that weekend and it says ANNIVERSERY on it, so I guess he's out for sure ahahahahahaha.

Scenic and not too extreme describes the X roads about perfectly.
Not an ADV ride nor an endurcross.

At our age we dont have to prove anything.

We can find singletrack on Monday and Tuesday that about fits those same parameters.

Glad you got all the spaces booked. We are two weeks after that, traveling on 8-31/9-1 and riding from 9-2 thru 9-8, and then the long boring slooooow ride back on 9-9/9-10 while we plan next years run. We were going to Taylor Park, but looks like we are headed to Sargent's (sp?) and hope to have a great 7 days of riding.

Sargents is where the good Trails are. Taylor park is a whooped out GNCC course that has been taken over by Monkeys on UTV's.

Drop by Rocky Mountain Jeep Rentals in Salida for the scoop from Craig Anderson while your up that way ?
