• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

X games enduro cross, husky brings the A team!

not mad about the skate or bmx stuff at all, i kinda dig it all and im sure that skate boarding and bmx has moved the xgames along to what they are as much as anything else. what i didnt like was lack of a schedule or following of one. i think the skate vids were like a seperate event they squeezed in there in the last minute or something.

The X-games started with skating and bmx if I remember right. I can't believe how much it has evolved!!! The step-up that Ronnie Renner took gold in was a CRAZY event. I can't believe the landings these guys are taking.

The X-Games just happened to be on when I was layed up in bed, so I spend many-a-hours watching those guys throw down.

i wasnt tryin to come off to serious either but i get a kick out of most of it, i was amazed at the young kids in it this year. frickin insane.

It is amazing, and I am very impressed how these kids are just able to absorb and embrace competeting against their skating idols. They seem to be able to ignore the caliber of the event and just skate as if they're in their backyard.

indeed, theyre too young to feel the "pressure". thats the name of the game too, just go have fun is what its all about. try your best and the rest will fall into place.

with places like camp woodward it wouldnt suprise me to see more and more 15yr old and under kids out there in the comming years.
