  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR360?

Husqvarna
Hey guys!

I was referred here by someone on advrider as an excellent source of info on all things WR360.

I do not have the bike yet, but a friend of a friend has one for sale. It's set up for the street, year 2000, and he's asking $3000 for it. Also, it's apparently mint. Thoughts? I'm beginning to get the idea that this is a really high asking price, and that maybe $2k would be more reasonable?

Also, are there any common issues with these bikes? I know they're pretty rare (at least near me in the US) so I'm not sure how easy/cheap it would be to acquire parts in the future.

I bought a pretty clean 99 for 2300
no boot wear on the frame or cases, plastic was not perfect but really nice overall

I like my '00 360 a lot but I don't think I would pay more than $2k for one unless it had a documented history of being professionally maintained and it had a complete rebuild recently or it had low hours. Even then it would be a stretch imo.

As far as parts go I think most stuff is still available, but you might want to call Hall's or Bill's and ask them.

$3k...depends on how long you want to keep it and whether it's already got the goods on it like a gnarly pipe, sorted forks, clean plastics, electric work, when was it's last rebuild ect.

As much as l love my 360, l wouldn't buy one for 3k unless there was nothing to spend on and that includes a hydro clutch!!!

3000 hes having a laugh, offer 1500 an work from there.. i love my 360 but itsa a low down power of a bike not at all like mormal two strokes not high reving but usable tractable power. look around there gotta be one for cheaper

I think it's way to much money unless as the others said it has real low hours, really clean or has a ton of mods to it. If you want one bad enough I would look around first and compare prices. JMO but I think you can do better if you take the time to shop.

Nah I didn't get it.

I'm not sure how serious he is about selling, I was only mildly interested in the bike anyway.

I need to clear out a couple "retired" projects before I buy another bike, haha

I appreciate the appraisals; I wouldn't have thought it was worth $3k, but neither did I think it would be worth 1500-2000 max.

never let emotions occlude a sale/ buy, if it is in near perfect shape over 2 would be fine, but 3 not unless it is in the crate
