  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st WR360 vs Modern 300's

Let preface in saying this isn't a slagging match on what's the better bike/brand out there!!

I sit and stare at my lonely 95 WR360 and whilst the 350 4T is getting the glory, I have ridden the Beta 300 and KTM300 but not enough to get a real good comparison on how these modern 300's go in comparison to the 360 (92-02) in torque/power, how does it compare?

I completely understand that the modern ergo's, suspension, brakes and electro's are far and away superior to even the last 360 made but disregarding this, on pure tractability or luggability (as these modern 300's are sold/marketed) is the modern 300's (even the last WR300) motor equal to or better than the 360?

Really interested in owners who have a modern 300 and still have a 360.

I can tell you that this 4T caper is becoming boring and l miss the instant power of 2T let alone the zilch engine braking especially on single tracks lol...but l don't miss not having a button these days;)

i just bought a '96 wr360 with 2500km and need some carby advice. i live in queensland. is it possible to ring me 0412 592 900

Back to OP. The WR360 was just built for the badass boys. Upshift and kick ass. I had an Eric Gore ported 2002 bike that would out drag my KX500, but also take me through trials tests like a boss. Could start it wearing tennis shoes. Set any bike up, just set it up. That is just the plain truth. I don't need a 300 two stroke as I have a 360 & a 165.
