  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hey guys i have a wr300 and just put a lectron carb on hoping to smooth out the low end power do alot of dual sport and tight trail riding so nice to be able to not be wide open on the pipe all the time when i first put the lectron on was night and day difference was much smoother getting on the pipe and all around but now it seems to be really jerky and jumpy when not on the pipe like 1/4 to 1/2 throttle bike surges and doesn't sound good but if i get on it it ripps stupid fast sounds great idk what is going on tried going leaner on metering rod tried going richer no difference once so ever im confused could it be reeds maybe silencer idk what is going on someone HELP****************************************

Hi, check the carb to manifold for air leaks. Lots of posts here about it. If you think it's leaking you can tape the rubber boot, reed block and manifold while you wait on a new boot and some gaskets.

Could be reeds
Airfilter partially blocked jet do you run a fuel filter to the carb?
Maybe airleak you may have a seal gone on the crankshaft.
Any more info how long was it good for before it started playing up? Did it happen after you last cleaned it?
Is it kicking back when you start it.
Loads n loads of questions.
