  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR300 KICKSARTER?

gary alger

Husqvarna
B Class
My kickstarter decided it liked florida better than ny, and exited my bike during the first gncc. I stalled the bike looked down and no more kickstarter....ugh.

Anyways I called halls and they have one in stock for 103.00........YIKES....

Anyone know of any alternative?

When my brother had his 98 cr250 (basically all honda two strokes)I lined it up and it sure seemed like it would work. I never actually tried it though. Sure bet it would though

I know they fit the wr and wxe/c models from 94 to 2004 as long it has a fine spline the fitment is pretty wide spread

I use the same on my '92 360 and '12 250/300. I looked on ebay earlier for you, but using the 360 only presents a $100 used option. Probably gonna have to just bite the bullet on it.

And what are you doing stalling it with a rekluse?

Do you not have breakers yards for bikes there? Would
Be my first port of call.
Classifieds here asking for one,
Go sneaky round a dealers with the right sized
Spanner and cause a distraction.

That sucks tho good luck on the replacment

not that dishonest if it fell off your bike whats to say it wont fall off a dealers? lol

just double check all bolts, makes me want to drill a hole in the shaft and put lock wire on it.

just checking mate thought I might've typed in the wrong website name again:eek:. my bad. back to talking about loose, flogged out shafts I guess. resume thread..........now

I measured the spline on my kicker to see if I could find another brand with a taller one. Its 17mm point to point on splines. Anyone know the big 4 well enough to state the size???

mind you the big 4 (if they fit) don't have the bend that the husky has. needs to clear pipe. seems hard without bend.
