  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR300 Changes for 2010

Pretty sure what I am seeing is these are the open chamber forks here. TC/TXC get the closed chamber AOS forks. No SSS coming on Husky is what I am told.

Those open chamber forks were revalved to be great on my '04 YZ, but I don't want to buy a brand new 2010 model and get forks I had years ago. :(

And if they give the good stuff to just the 4 strokes I'm going to sneak in to BMW/Husky ATL late at night and pull the 'ol switch-a-roo the night before I close on my new 2010.

So this evening my dealer throwed the WR300´10 into my garage.

There´s another new thing vor ´10, the sterring agle limiter!
The ´09 had no screws to adjust the angle to turn the bike.
If you use the full way of the screws, you can turn the husky on a post-stamp!

Pictures would be great, if you can take the time out from riding...:D

yeah there are some good trails up here. The rocks get old after a while though. I was considering a WR300 but I think it is just way too much bike for New England. Even for a big guy a WR125 or TXC250 / TE310 would be a better choice.

Thanks man,...I'll try that.
I bet New Hampshire has some killer tight technical deep woods riding, huh? The good ol' boys will be up there in Louden next week to kick off the chase for the championship.

the pictures show clearly why the 09 (with the marzocchi forks) does not need the screw-type steering limiter...

So what? What´s easier?
Ordering lower triple clamps in the needed Specification or changing frame by adding the ScrewThing? :excuseme:
