  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR300 Changes for 2010

Petzi

Husqvarna
C Class
I heard about minor changes on the 2010 WR300.

...same but on some parts stronger frame!
...new 45 Fork!
...easier to de-install Rear-Lightning!
..."in-mold" Graphics!
...H4 Headlight instead the Bilux!
...whole Exhaust-System!

My question now is ... does anybody know, what they changed on the exhaust?
I heard of a special Pipe for australian market wich came in the end of 09 with the bikes (another headerpipe than in EU or USA).
Perhaps thats now the new stock Pipe for 2010? :excuseme:

More power! I can't imagine what that would be like. My '09 is a rocketship already.

YES!

The 09' pipe is horribly weak. I dont think mine could handle another weld or dent removal job.

When will parts hit hit suppliers?

Ya know, if they'll fit,...and look okay with the tank shrouds,...and they're not ridiculously expensive,...I might order a set of the molded-in-graphics side plate panels. I can't get my bike to wear his WR300 model designation stickers. Every time I turn my back he tries to peel 'em off!

clean the plastic with rubbing alcohol, warm the sticker with a blow dryer, put it on, then run a small amount of super glue around the edges, then put a piece of clear background over the sticker and make sure it over laps the sticker but 1.5 inch. That way when dirt works its way in you can cut the background back without disturbing the sticker.

Forgot to ask.... this is the open chambered 48mm fork used on pre-05' Yamaha's, correct?

If so, is this an actual upgrade over the 50mm Zokes?

It's not him. It's those jealous KTM's doing it. It's so much faster than them, they think if they pull the decals off everybody will think it's a 360. But see, they're so slow they don't know they stopped making the 360, yet.

I have a leaky weld in my pipe too.
But damn, I could not imagine they could build a better
performance pipe than this stocker.
After my head mod that bike flat out rips, anywhere anytime.

As tempting as it is to ask someone detailed follow up questions, it is possible some people would be less likely to post helpful tid bits in the future when that happens, at least I would be less likely to do that.

Digging the clean look of the new side panels

Those aren't the 'SSS' twin chambered forks.
I'm not not sure if they're the AOSS forks or the previous gen KYB forks. Anyone know?

Pretty sure what I am seeing is these are the open chamber forks here. TC/TXC get the closed chamber AOS forks. No SSS coming on Husky is what I am told.

And for reference sake the 2010 TC250 does have the KYB Twinchamber forks. (As does the TXC for the US I believe)

I'll put a 'nanny cam' out there! If I catch them doing that we'll see how they like $1.29 a quart generic weedeater 2-stroke oil from Lowe's!

Thanks man,...I'll try that.

I bet New Hampshire has some killer tight technical deep woods riding, huh? The good ol' boys will be up there in Louden next week to kick off the chase for the championship.

Look real close though,.....aren't those still just stickers?
See the edges?
On the 2010s I've been up close and personal with they certainly don't feel like stickers if you run your finger back and forth over them. ( ... :naughty: ... )

I ordered my WR300 a few weeks ago. When I went back to pick it up the guys at the shop told me that the importer had sent a new pipe for it. They said that it was no different in performance, just stronger than the original.
