  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc wr300 2012 help to solve the next problem of the engine

it looked to be an intermittent problem till I realized that it was an intermittent video :D
if you look at the :35 and the 5:04 point you will see the problem
or it could be a bad ignition, mine was not easy to start cold and would not start at all hot, replace ignition

you do not laugh , do you also have this garbage ) . I almost a year could not sell it . if and paid very little . lose on a motorcycle half the cost of not even having driven (
I don't want to buy cdi Ducati . its price 210 usd and there is no guarantee that it will work for long .
for me now everything Italian this shit .
I will try putting the old Japanese all ignition together with the flywheel and it will be better and safer .

by the way I put on wr300 clutch disks from crf450r and they are better than what it was .
footpages also from Honda
gear lever - china pit bike
now ignition ............

I can't wait to get rid of mine! It seized in the first 20 miles! Ignition went bad. Shifting is lousy, clutch action sucks, intake boot between engine and carb had to be replaced, constantly overheated, plastics are crap! I got it all fixed though, thank god. The new cdi i bought still works great though.

silence ) I can't hear the words of love to hva ))
I put all the ignition (flywheel cdi coil ) from old Japanese scooters . motorcycle start with a half turn , has DC
I can now put the fan cooling . on the original ignition no DC
left to adjust the angle of ignition advance and can ride. and the main thing is to be reliable , may not be such a modern , yet secure .
price just ignition included less than the price of the cdi ducati that is not working well .
when I'm ready to tell which was the best and worst

Glad you got it running again and hope the scooter ignition is reliable. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Now get out there and .
