  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR250 foot peg cross over

I'm going to sort out the foot control fit for my size 14 boots and 6'6" height. Is there any foot pegs that fit my Husky besides Husky? I have YZ pegs on my GasGas and it was nice to shop lots of choices. I'm also going to buy a tall (soft for my boney butt) seat and modify the brake pedal after I settle on a peg choice. I would like a low and back peg if there is one out there. I'll see about the shifter once I'm done with the rest.

Any suggestions?

did you make a new brake pedal fer that 250 yet mister man??? i wanna see some sparks flying tonight buddy....lol....

I ordered a tall seat and some fastway pegs. When they come in and are on the bike I will do the brake pedal, that way I won't have to do it twice. Thanks for asking Sargent PVDUKE Sir!

that more like it private sno ball now drop n give me 20******************************************************************************** weeeeee!

BTW- who ya using for the seat? Gutz has been super awesome for me....i love the old seat cover with the H on it but when it's time Guts Racing hooks me up....on a lot of bikes.

I ordered a P5 Guts Ballistic Gripper from Halls in Springfield. It's supposed to be a little better for $10 extra. I moved to middle MO so they are a fairly close dealer + I got a skid plate for my GasGas on the same order.

YZ/Gas Gas pegs go right on. You have to file or grind the barrel that the mounting pin slides through, to fit into frame mount. You don't have to grind stops. I've used Moose stainless ones on my last two WR125's.

Good to know! I just eyeballed a set of yz pegs i had laying around. Certain year YZF's had the titanium pegs, sweet upgrade maybe? Seems like the titanium ones had the lowest platform height of all as well.

I have fastways on my 300 and like them but, I just installed these on my 167

and I think I like them better. I also cut and flipped the pegs so they are down and back
zip-ty peg extensions look sweet-huge! any problems with them coming loose(i assume they bolt onto stockers!?) or foot slippin down/inwards where they taper in? what did you do to pegs to flip them-6'4" need all the room i can get?

I cut and flipped mine, but haven't ridden it since. It's really easy to do.
1. Take out the peg assembly on one side.
2. Cut the shaft spacer from the underside of the peg with a hacksaw and remove the burrs with a file.
3. Remove the footpeg from the opposite side of the bike and use the spring on the original peg.
4. Put the cut off spacer on the topside (instead of the original underside) of the peg assembly with the opposite spring around it.
5. Push the pin in, and test the action of the return spring. File as necessary.
