  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thats not incomplete!
Think there is one or two shims on the primary shaft but thats all you need!

You need the shift selector and the little tensioner for the selector as well as the little pieces for mounting the tensioner.

Thanks to all.

I have almost all parts together
What wil be recommended gearing
14t 50 ore something
I am riding now with the 5 speed
13t 47 and is ok.

Think 13:48 same as 360 im running 14:48 have a 15t sprocket for road use didnt fnd it much dfferent off road just used second a tad more.

I Purchased my WR300 with the WR360 6 speed gearbox installed-night and day difference if I compare it to my WR250!.. How can they market the standard close ratio gearbox as a 'WR'?.
COYOTE.

Im still in sixth before the end of my street on 360, lug around in 3-4 offroad unless im in twisties then its 2-3 anything else just lofts the front.

We are building it together but I also needed the wr360 shift pedal axel. It has a different shift mechanism.
Now it can work.
Maybe newer wr360 do also have the newer shift meganism like the 2010 wr models.

Well aslong as you got it too work thats the main point!
Having owned a 99 250 and still own a 02 360 those shift mecs were the same as far as i could remember.

Husky changed the shift mechanism in 2002 on the CR 250 and 2004 on the WR 250. The 360 used the old style until the end. The old style also had 2 versions with the shift star on the end of the shift drum being large or small and of course the shift shaft to match. Hope this helps.
