  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Wr125 - First Husky - Couple Questions

Emmett

Husqvarna
C Class
Picked up a 13' WR125 and working on getting it sorted and have a couple questions..

First, need some suggestions on what clutch perch / levers will work. The stocker has seen better days and I would like to run an aftermarket quick adjust. I see some folks are using the Moose EZ3 setup so I have to assume this perch allows the proper lever throw? The stock lever throw seems very short to me (always been a big 4 guy) so maybe its normal. Also need a new cable and there seems to be quite a bit of discussion around fitment / length so recommendations are appreciated.

Second, I stuck this in an old PV post but haven't seen much in the way of replies so I will drop it here. I have several PV springs that came along with the bike and I am curious what the "stock" setup is and also some recommendations on a combo of what is in the attached pic that will give the most broad / metered power delivery.

Thanks gang. PV Springs.jpg

For the clutch lever I’m running a Protaper XPS and for the clutch cable I’m running the Motion Pro as everyone here has mentioned ... works really good for me on my 300 .... no interference with the hand guards also.

The springs are meant try to change the opening timing of the power valve. The stock large spring is unpainted. In 125 form that is your best option.

Seems like I don't have the stock spring. All are colored in some way. Also, the large white seems to be larger in diameter than the other large springs. That make sense? Looks like the stock spring alone is not available for purchase so what spring setup would be nearest stock? Thanks
