• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

wr125 0r te250r ?

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hello all,
So i sold my wr300 and wanted something a bit different and was set on a wr125 to turn into WB165. So here in AUS the wr125 is 6995 with no 144 kit. So when we finally got some discounts over here none on the 125 but the te250 2013 is 1000 more than the 125 with the discount. So know im leaning towards it Maybee?
The wr300 was so easy to maintain, it gave me 100hrs of fun with very little problems, thats why i was thinking of staying with the 2 stroke. But it will cost me more than the cost of the 250 to get up to the 165. Cause i would by the 144 kit to run for a while.
Before u ask the 310r is 2000 more than the 250.
So what do use think stay with the 125 2st or get the 250 4t, the dealers got both and im gunna purchase this week.
Thanks for the help guys.

I vote 125! I had always rode 2st's but with all the fuss over the new 4st's I bought a TE310. Now it's a great bike and I like it but I love the 125. I couldn't get use to the engine braking of the 4st.

Yeah the 300 was the first 2t ive had for a long time and at first no engine breaking was a bit weird. But got used to it quick and found easier in the tight stuff.

Went and ordered the te250r yesterday should have it Thursday, cant imagining not liking it. But I do like a change :). Ill post some pics up then.
Does the rekluse lessen the engine breaking?

I'm sure you'll like it. Can't answer on the rekluse, would like to get one for my 310 but they don't have them for 09's.

One bike (010 TC250) I have has a rekluse on it from a previous owner ... It might lessen the engine slightly but not a real change from the behavior of a normal bike ...

There are many more things about that clutch you might want to consider ... For openers, it locks engine RPM with actually ground speed in most all cases ... Unless it is super tight and spider-walking the bike is necessary, I just don't need this type action ..
