  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR 360 Lectron fuel rod optionss

Hey everyone. I just purchased a Lectron for my 2002 WR 360 that has a 92 head on it and was wondering if anyone had info on the setup and fuel rod sizes? I'm running a 2-3 now and can't get rid of a fat spot in the mid. If I adjust leaner on rod then it mellows out the power and has hanging idle.
Thanks!

I looked at my different 360 heads, the 92 looked the same just did not have the boss for the frame mount
did you check your intake manifold, seems you are trying to jet around something

Hey thanks for reply. Yes I took apart the intake manifold, new boyesen reeds, gaskets etc. main seals are good. The head is one without boss. The guy I got it from had it on there. Compression is running 160lbs. I'm at 8,000ft so it's a little colder right now and thin air. Was wondering what other people might be running on their 360's with Lectron

mine came set up, who did you get yours from?
on the intake, I meant look for leaks, spraying something like carb cleaner at it while idling
I ride 8000'+ sometimes and in fairly cool weather, doesn't seem to affect it yet

Call Kevin at Lectron see what he recommends. They are very helpful and easy to talk to. I'm thinking a 3-2xll would work good for you

I did call Kevin....he recommended a 4-2 so I bought one and really didn't like that. Too lean on bottom and fat on top. Maybe I should try a 3-2. The 2-3 is close but just not right. Again it's about 35 degrees and 8k ft here now so this is a PITA anyways...lol

i had the same issue as you..the 3-2xl is the ticket. how far does your power jet tube stick down into your venturi? my lectron stock had the tube right about halfway, which meant my pj started flowing at half throttle. a shorter length tube can be ordered from lectron. this will hold the pj from flowing until larger throttle. this is also able to be set at any desired spot by just cutting the tube to whatever length. let us know how it tunes out.
my 360 runs great summer or winter.

Thanks I might just have to try that! It was a 2000 WR 250 and I converted it to a 360 motor. Still looking for an air box to carb boot too. If anyone might have one. Here is a pic of my beauty. One of my fav all time bikes I've owned.

Thanks! It's getting there. The disc guard is an Acerbis one but from mid 2k and don't think they make it anymore?
