  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc WR 300 Torque settings

Ken Mac

Husqvarna
Hello all,
Im new on here & to forums in general, I live in Dundee.
I recently acquired a 2012 WR300 and up until now I thought that the flash stick that came with it was corrupt as it did not play on my Mac, I just tried it on the desktop & hey presto it opened up a few menus, however I still have not found the Torque setting for one single nut or bolt.
I used to ride a lot of desert motocross in Saudi when I worked there for an oil company & after stripping down my 205 YZ250 for a clean & lube after my first desert ride I wished I had not as it felt like a bag of bolts afterwards (sockets & spanners job), the next week & invested in a couple of torque wrenches & did the next re-build with them,,,yeh ha **************************************** my bike felt like new again,,,ever since I swear by them for all structural & mechanical work on the bike & shudder when I see mechanics in dealerships re-building bikes without them,,,,I desperately want to get my bike re-built after stripping it down for a clean, inspection & lube up,,,,can anyone help me with a full torque list for the bike or let me know where to get one please, so I can get my leg back over her & into some riding,,,,appreciate your help in advance

Rockdancer,
Fantastic m8, my main concerns were the fork triple clamp bolts & front axle nut along with rear swing arm & axle nut as they are mechanical & fastened to the structure/engine. Im pretty sure that in this case the settings will be nearly/if not the same, I used to know all of these but it has been a few years since I last rode off road so did not trust my memory with the fine details. Thanks for your time & help, much appreciated.

Lower triple: slightly snug
Upper triple: fairly snug
front axle: quite snug
rear axle: fairly tight
swingarm: really tight

Upper clamp 20 lb/ft. Lower clamp 14.5 lb/ft. Frt axel clamp bolts 10nm or 7 lb/ft. Frt axel 37 lb/ft. Rear axel says 100 lb/ft, but i use 80.

Thanks all, feel happy enough to give what you have gathered a go, I will know more when im inputting the settings into the bolts, if its wrong, to tight/lose i think i will notice, better to be close than way to wrong,,,,,cheers again.
