  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Wr 300 2013 isn't revving out properly and lags

Soup

Husqvarna
I have purchased my 2013wr300 and went riding with a mate on a ktm 2t 250 and his bike was quicker and more powerful than mine.
When I ride mine the top end really lags and feels like its restricted or some thing. And the power band isn't that strong.
The shop put a pipe on it to get road reg (in Australia) on mine does this effect performance much?
or is there restricters on these for road use?
What upgrades can I do?

Was it a 250SX? If so they have more horsepower than the WR300. What pipe did they install? May be a jetting issue.

250s will typically rev out further and sometimes they feel like they have more hit. I agree with Eaglefreek tho. Jetting? also wanting to hear what pipe was installed.

I don't know what pipe, Just a stock black one, and there was 2 exc around 2011 and a yz250 2004 all quicker than my bike :/. I just took it back to the shop and husky said therein a few things to go over but said there must be something wrong if its getting beaten.
And I haven't rode any other 300 s so it's hard to compare

did you buy it new or 2nd hand?from a husky dealer?

yeah something with jetting or pipe, maybe power valve, might be holding it back it should wake you up when letting her rip.

may well be the stupid adr pipe. has 3 restrictors in it(header/midpipe/stinger). throw it I the bin & put the other pipe on it you should have got with the bike

I have a Gnarly is a good low mid pipe that I felt helped smooth out some mid hit. I do like the factory pipe when its dry out seems like it revs quicker and has more top end. Just because of that I've had my eye on a pro cuircit pipe as well. Depends on how you like to ride.

We'll I have just dropped it off and am getting a pro circuit system and tune so hopefully she is going great guns after this

the A.D.R. chamber has a small tube attached that goes to a canister up to fuel tank area.other restrictors between air filter & engine, above carb slide & the jetting is leaner, slide is different
