  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc wr 250 exhaust system which is better

hay K wheres the big pipe shoot out??? the carb deal is done time to move on and whats up with that funky tire???

On my 300 I have: 2 stock pipes, 1 DEP, 1 Pro Circuit.

Stock pipes are great for low to mid range. Plus you smash it, you blow out the dents with a torch, hit it with BBQ paint, and it looks new again.

DEP is a good all around pipe, focused on mid-high, but not losing low.

Pro Circuit is mid-high, not much low. Has a proprietary end on it, so only the pro circuit silencers will fit it. Check with your local dealer, when Husky parts moved to the KTM warehouse, they let the Husky branded PC pipe/silencers go to dealers for CHEAP. Told my dealer I wouldn't say the price, but it was low enough to impulse buy, even though I had 3 exhausts in the garage already.

Personally, I like the Stock or DEP pipe mated to a Leo Vince silencer. I like FMF spark arrestors, but I don't like their expansion chambers.

The DEP pipe is listed for a CR250.

My bike came with a dented C2, FMF Gnarly and and pristine Doma. Now the Doma is dented DOH. Wish I got to ride with the other two so I could tell what one does what. I like the power and sound of the Doma but have not seen them available. Probably going with the FMF when I replace it. Does anyone know who repairs them and rechromes?
