  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR 250/300 Rear Brake Lever Fix.

NOW you need to change the rear rotor to the big one bolted direct to the hub

Halls and Zip ty have the new caliper braket with shark fin which then allows you to mount up the bigger rotor
Got it and LOVE IT! Thanks TY!

I installed the 4 stroke brake pedal and love it. What a difference. Thanks 454x for the heads up. I found a used one on Ebay adn it saved me a few bucks.

I just bought a 2000 cr 125 and the brake pedal is the same , so an older cr 125 lever wouild work to.

From which four stroke? What's different about it?

No difference from yours. I meant what a difference from the stock 300 pedal. It was listed for a 2006 TC450. I did have to do a little grinding where the pedal hits the foot peg mount. The stock 300 pedal is machined in the same area from the factory.

When I ordered mine from Bills(BMP) Bryon said that their was only 2 part numbers for the older Huskies, so the 250/300 are the same and all the rest of the older CR125's and older 4t's are the same I guess. Here's the part number I used part #800073894

I have a stock 300 pedal on my bike. I thought the 4T pedal was pretty much the same as the 2T.
MotorHead, did the master cylinder you used on your 250 bolt right up? I'd like to see more pics of yours as I'd like to do the same to mine. To answer your question the 4t and 2t cr125 pedal's are straight and don't tuck in board like the 250/300.
Thanks, Tim.

Thanks, Tim. The master does not bolt straight up to the big WR's, the holes are 10mm closer together on the smaller master. I used some 1/4" plate aluminum to make an adaptor. This also spaced the new master out so the clevis I had would center up. The top hole in the adapter lines up with the top hole of the master. The bottom hole is drilled and counter sunk. Then a third hole is drilled and taped to match up with the bottom hole of the frame.

My clevis is from a KXF, which has an 8mm hole, and I threaded a helicoil into it so it would work with the 6mm CR125 push rod.

Eaglefreek- can you post a picture of the 4-stroke cleat that you installed?

I didn't install just a cleat, I installed the whole lever assembly like 454x did. You can see his pics on the other page of this thread. I kept the factory tip, where as he installed an aftermarket one.

First of all thanks to AJAXAUTO for making this happen with zipty racing.
Got some photos of this mod first installed on my 02 cr250 and secondly the parts for
my 09 wr300. I would call halls and zipty directly for the brackets and I would be quick because I was told only 15 of these
were made up at this time. Halls probably has the correct rotor in stock also or could get fairly quickly.View attachment 23573View attachment 23574View attachment 23576View attachment 23580
Thanks

isnt this the same as on the Enduro Engineering brake fin???

how much was it ?

A little more info, fyi. I thought this came up again somewhere here, but now I can't find it.

That's the WR300 pedal on the left and part # 8A0073894 on the right. I got the part to replace the mangled pedal on my WR150, not to replace my WR300 pedal, which I still like just fine.
