  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc wr 125 airbox mod?

Husqvarna
A Class
iv been doing alot of riding around lakes latly and have 3 times gave my bike a drink in deep water. anyone that has the 06- wr knows the drain in the bottom of the airbox.has anyone blocked it up or modded it in any other way for water riding because i dont even get wet above my ankles and the husky coughs out

Silicone seal the slot and then drill a hole as big as a dime, in the very bottom of the air box. Next step is.... either put a piece of duct tape over the hole inside the airbox and cut an "X" in it, so the water that does get in can drain. Or.... you can find a KTM or Yamaha bulb style drain and install it in the hole. I always used a KTM one.

Not saying its not water getting in the airbox as not familier with a 06 but if your overflow pipes from the carb become submerged the bike will also die, If you tee them and run two up into the airbox or what ever it should become a submarine.

any pics by any chance jonny?? that could be whats happening more so because i didnt think the tide mark in the airbox was high enough to stop the engine

I ran longer hoses today and some sponge with air filter oil in the airbox and had the bike up to just under the exhaust in water, pulled like a dream but my wheel bearings hate me
