• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FYI Husky racing fans. Follow and support another Husky racer.
Local (to us) racer (Campo, SD county) #503 Justin Morgan is racing as a ZipTy support rider on the new FC450 Husqvarna in the Pro 2 Class.
He appears to be the only Husky that races in the weekend premier WORCS Pro Race.

There was a time back when Scot Harden would come on and mix it up with us regular guys. A lot of talk and helpful advise would get traded back and force. Some times it is nice to see when upper management comes on and really gets involed with the buyers of the product they are trying to sell. So then the next question when are we going to see Andy Jefferson on here taking questions?

Well, I'll say this. Public forums scare the hell out of manufactures, they see it as very dangerous, so you will never see any type of upper level management on them. Ty and Andy are already here, but not to make any public appearance, they have reps to do that. Ty's rep is myself obviously and Husqvarna's rep is Scott Cox of Resource Market inc. We are bound to the same rules as the riders while on these forums, rules I often accidently break because I'm human, and result in getting me in terrible trouble with Ty and Andy. I would love to see all of team Husqvarna and satellite teams here to chat. And I would ask everyone not to push questions of specific team strategies or equipment failures, because that would surely seal any future conversations from ever happening again. :)

Race reports are welcome, but of course for DNFs no need for us to know or see the details for obvious reasons. Good example is Nicks H&H report.
My favorite out used by racers for DNF is that "we had some issues (could be tires, motor, levers, self anything) and we had to retire to the pits" While running in xx place and moving up through the pack.

We already know the race team strategy, it's to whoop everyone else's butt. That's why the team has who it has ;)
I'll leave the DNF stuff alone...promise :). I'm really more interested to see what all comes from it. We're all aware of current issues but the new bikes are a mystery.

Since Andy is watching this, tell Husky to get the blue wheels from Husaberg :)
