• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Will the new Huskys be hard to find?

Just got done talking to third husky dealer and they told me exact same thing previous two did, that they have been inundated with calls and inquests on the new Huskys,What really threw me for a loop was a longtime ktm fanatic friend of mine is seriously thinking of selling his ktm 300 and street bike so he can get a new husky,

I personally think the two strokes will be near impossible to find and hit and miss with larger 450's and 501's

opinions?

I think the 2015's will be easier to find than the 14's due to the fact there are basically two models this year (Italians/Austrians). I'll keep playing with my Italians . Rode with a friend last week who bought my 06KTM XC300. We switched for awhile and I couldn't wait to get my wr back.I don't know how I used to ride that KTM, it would take a lot more set than the Husky to make it work for me. I still like the KTM motor though.

I went and sat on some ktms's and Beta's the other day. The orange Husky's seemed to fit me better. Really it was just more space.

Availability will depend on this business model they want to follow. If they were smart, they would make them available so that people would can buy one instead of dreaming about buying one. IMO but they have to build a demand for the product before they do it the KTM way and limit the availability of them. That was the reason that made me look at a Husky in the first place. I wanted a KTM 125 that I saw on the web, but I found out they would not import them here. The rest is history because I'm sooooooooooooo glad that I found this site and was able to inquire about the WR 150 I bought. I guess only time will tell what track they are going to follow.

Easy, there are some left over 2013 Husabergs around. That's as close as your gonna get for now.

Malcolm Smith's has the new Huskatoomabergs listed on their website which at least means they are on order.
