  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

$300 original tires and chain and sprockets. Bike has about 400 miles on it. 1995 WXE250. Should be fun.

Preload adjustable showa forks, nissan brakes...

Is that the one in Camas?

I think I saw it the other day on 'the list'

Yep. Asking $450 said it was seized. I think it is fine, turns over, has compression and makes no odd noises. I offered $300 and he needed it gone (girlfriend) $300 and 10 miles form me mad it impossible to resist. Hell a couple of sets of tires cost that much!!!

Kelly,

Just park that thing in the corner for 10 years or so and then break it out for some vintage racing!

Frame says 1995 but my husky dealer tells me 94 was the last year with Nissin brakes and the adjustable Showa forks. Advertised as a 93, frame says 95. Dunno.

That was a great bike in the day besides them using a Yamaha ATV rear brake caliper mounted backwards. It would wear the guides once they got time on them. I am going to have to break out my old spare parts and post them for sale now. By the way RMX uses the same fork seals.

Good deal Kelly, I was looking everyday and just haven't taken the time lately, or I might have beat you to it.

Great find Kelly,

If nothing else you can sell the bottom end for at least what you bought it for so that someone can put a 6 speed in their WR250/300. I personally have a hard time parting a perfectly good bike. Maybe that explains all the accumulated "stuff" my wife complains about.:D

I have been staying away from CL. Then today I take a break and type in Husqvarna and bam... $450 and thats a cool year. 10 miles from my house!!!

So the Story goes that the guy I got it from (nice dude) got it in trade for some work. The dude he got it from was the original owner and older dude. As the story goes he was riding it and it seized and he high sided off it ending in the hosbital with stuff broken. then the bike sat. So I bought it thinking it needed motor work and he offered it to me for $300. It did turn over and sound fine so I was not to concerned.

So tonight I clean it up and man it is in nice shape sans the scares from sliding down the street. Scrub scrub scub and there is a very low mile and shiny bike under there!!! The air filter was way clogged. Gas smelled bad but not horrible. Turn it over a bunch of times... sounds fine and has some compression. Kick it a few times and pop... it just fired. hummmm. Screw it i say, dump the tank, put fresh gas, new plug, clean filter and give it a shot. Kick it about 15 times, pops a few times but will not go. What the heck, run it down the hill and b b b b b b b ring ding ding ding.... EEEEEEEEHHHAAAWWWWWWWWWWW Ride it around the hood... runs GOOD****************************************!!! I am in such disbelief at this point I'm stunned.

Love the tank design. Over three gallons and a narrow / low. The fuel line goes up to the carb it is so low.
