• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Who would you pick to ride the National Enduro on a Husky

Also from offroadchampions.com....
Jason Raines was mention by a National Enduro regular insider to be a candidate for team Husqvarna to race the 2010 national Enduro series.

-Rory Sullivan will not continue with Husaberg and the National Enduro series next year. He will ride a few national enduros on a Kawasaki, but many will ride local races for Beaverton.

I hope I did not start that Jason Raines Rumor then. I was just throwing that out there as the start of the season he seemed to enjoy the National Enduros. Maybe I should have mentioned my name.

That is no longer posted on ORC.

Clay Stuckey (HSB National Sales Mgr) told me that he Rory was on a Berg again for 2010, but due to budget cuts, his deal was not as good as 09.

Is this the series?

2 races west of the Mississippi in WY & MT, the rest in the east?
:

That's the one. The west races were the lowest attended so somewhat understandable there aren't more out there. The year before the two west coast races were in NV and AZ. There isn't another "National" series in offroad that covers more of the US that I know of. It's the best we've got.

Series used to start in California.......

That is what I thought. I was at the last Quicksilver which was in Feb 2007, they did not have it Feb 2008, and Clear Creel was closed spring 2008.

The Kramer and Lewis were there from Dirt Rider, someone from the north east, I've forgotten many of the details but still have pics, vids, and an entry list from that race.

There is going to be some new venues for 2010 and a couple of old ones are to return. I have heard that there will be a National in Maine next year and they will be back in TX.

I assume that the series will start in Sumter again. Hard to take their National away when they get 600 riders every year.

me thinks Maine will be late August. Too much MC stuff in early August in the NE that conflicts with it

Later,

Why is the home office at Husqvarna pushing the 250f so hard? Seems they should let the rider decide what fits him and his style the best. I am not saying it can't happen but I don't see a 250 thumper OA'ing a National.

Same reason Yamaha wouldn't let Stewart race a yz 250 if he wanted. They are looking to showcase their hot new model.

its the new gen machine,,that is most competitve with the other brands
they are certainly working on the new gen 350-450 machines as well, keep a close eye on the WEC most euro bike manufacturers use the series to test the new stuff there, just like the 250 that has been there for a few years now in various forms.

me i am hoping for an X-lite style TXC350(@ cc) in the future based on an ultra MX competitive TC350,,,,,

it must be called a 360 to pay homage to the Husky 360s of the past!
