  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st White frame / Black frame

Pro Class
I've noticed that the factory MX3 guys have been running blacked out frames and swingarms on the 510's, and I think they look pretty kool.

Now Oblucki showed up at the Finland round with a black framed WR250, but I'm not sure if I like it as much as the white on the WR.

What do you think?

To me, nothing says "old school" like a black frame. I remember when I saw a Monarch for the first time. Wow, it had an almost turquoise blue frame to accent all that yellow on the body work. I immediately wanted one. (Didn't get one though) I always go for color on the frames, myself. I like my silver frame and I like white on a frame. Light colors are good because they show any damage and cracks really well.

I'll try to remember where I found the MX3 shots, but here's a couple I down loaded.

Oooh....I like the jersey that that racer is wearing.

Ya I like it. Hey Check out the red spoke nipples same pic. Or the half silver half black rims.

Maybe to much...maybe not.:D

Help me out here folks, I have to do something this week. I guess polls aren't an option here, so post opinions.

I'm looking at;

White frame like an '09.

Black frame.

Black frame, swingarm and subframe.

White frame, black swingarm and subframe.

All of these would be with sliver rims.

Thanks dirt dame, you're the winner. You get a used spark plug from a WR250.

But, I told the guy to paint it white then I turned around as I was walking out the door and said, "No, just go ahead and make it black. Gloss black." :excuseme:

I couldn't make up my mind. :banghead: I've been toiling over it for days. Then I got to thinking that Husky has never had a black production frame, have they? Silver and white is all I remember.

How would you make the swingarm or the subframe black? Powder coat? or annodize?

I powdercoated the frame on my 06 gloss black and it looked amazing.

I'd probable powder coat the subframe, but I'm not sure about the swingarm. I'd rather anodize it, myself.

Well, I guess if your '06 looked amazing then I should be OK with an '07.

Picked up the WR frame to day and it's white and looks really good. They did a great job prepping and coating. Well worth the $60.
