I did use the CA Cycleworks fuel pump after trying the ebay fuel pump.how come you did not go with the CA Cycleworks or the stock fuel line?
Could you post a pic of the fuel pump that did NOT work? or any other pictures you may have- thanks
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

no, no- I meant why did you not get the $5.25 CA Cycleworks fuel line to use with the pump you had already bought? Or even use the stock fuel line?
I'm trying to get info to help future readers here.
Also, any pictures?
2070, I wanted to make a couple of quick points:
Your pump is not like joedirt's fuel pump. His is w-a-a-a-a-y different and has about 4 feet of submersible fuel line. Actually, it looks like this:

Also, it looks like you've used a 38mm pump instead of a 30mm. If that works- good job. Many have tried.
Have you had any problems running without a fuel filter?
One of the hoses on your 2nd image is J30R10 (IOW: submersible); but it usually retails at a fairly high price- $15-$20/ft. The hose that Kurt recommend has the correct size on each end (1/4" & 5/16"!), is submersible, and retails for $5.25 USD. The other hose and pump are the stock ones (for our reader's info; BTW, the stock pump is just about the size of a D-battery).

Joe went ahead and bought the entire pump kit from California Cycleworks (hq'd in Georgia, I believe- go figure) and that kit price is above $100 ($120?)
Joe has solved his hose connection problem with the kit. I was just curious about some of the alternatives.
thanks for the photos. you've got a couple of "outside the box" mods going on... that's always good to see.
If you're gonna reuse the hose, then it doesn't matter- the 30mm pumps are the same. I would warn you though that these stock hoses are hard to work with (hard to get off without damaging them, very hard to put on without some thinking)JoeDirt Did you buy the SKU: FP-HUS-X Pump from CA Cycleworks? Which hose would work with my bike? I have the TXC-250. I could just reuse the same hoses too

If your TXC is a 2010, you probably want the 4" or 6" hose (your pump is on a 6-bolt aluminum oval flange).
If your TXC is an xlite (2011-2014) AND your fuel pump flange is a plastic 4-bolt rectangular unit (well, 2 flanges actually) and not a 6-bolt aluminum oval flange then I believe you want the 8" hose with the two different end sizes.
I think. whew.
I might do a quick back-flush of the filter before the install (that is, if I wasn't putting a new inline filter in).
Great! Mine is a 2011 250 TXC-i I believe it has the plastic 4 bolt flange. I will double check and let you know.
