• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

wheres dirtdame? I miss reading her stuff

Ya I was wondering that also. She might be having problems with posting on the new C/H. Does anyone have an phone number for her.

What's the matter with everybody? I post about once a day on this forum. I just haven't done any ride reports lately.

I have been busy trying to restore a real POS old trail bike (total engine rebuild, etc.), and last weekend I went a local trials meet to ride the loop and take pictures. This weekend, I have volunteered to work the lunch stop in Borrego Springs on the second day of the 7th Annual Desert Dash. But I still get onto this forum about a dozen times a day usually.

She's everywhere! She's everywhere!! Whether riding what seems to be way too much, or snappin mega good fotos of motos and fishing trips. And hosting/leading my daughter on a single track ride (thanks). DD is on the scene somewhere around and about the San Diego county area and beyond. I guess from what I've read she will be at the Sun lunch stop for the annual Dez dash by SDAR,,, DD at the DD, will be on my TE610. She is great supporter of all things moto and if you follow some of her SDAR how to or how its done posts you find that she is quite the good mech as well, case splits, crank rebuilds, gearbox rebuilds etc.
For example, she is mostly seen on green (older green)

Haha! Popular person. Seems your fan-club misses you.

It's true! I PM'd her the other day asking how she was doing

Well, if you ever checked into your FB account, you'd see how I was doing!

Where have I been lately? The shadow knows!:p

I'll try to do better on ride reports in the future. I haven't done a whole lot of them on my local forum board either. This is the most exciting thing that happened on a recent ride:

Chick, Dame, Kitty, Girl and Kid are the 5 Husky riding CH girls I can think of. There has to be more!?

I'm not sure why but I always picture our female Husky riders as great and beautiful nordic warrior women with mythical beasts for pets. Probably because their ride reports are always filled with outstanding adventures as well as all the challenges that they always rise up and conquere.:applause::thumbsup:
Oh yeah and sign me up for a few of the signature Tee's.
