    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Where to get parts? compability question

Hi!
I need some help in getting some parts I am having difficulties finding.
I would need piston set, big-end bearing, gaskets and left radiator cover plastic.
Bike is te510 2004 (plastics are 2005)

Are there engine top-end parts that arent specific for that year? Dont seem to be lots of parts when looking for that specific year.

Plus, are there any restrictions using random ignition coil on that bike. Haven't found any good information about them. E-bay coils show that coils are the same for 125cc and 510cc engines.

Check out this site. They have most manuals for most years and models. When I am checking parts compatibility I always check the part numbers from the specific year and model. It doesnt always mean that the part in question wont fit if the numbers are different, but sometimes you can find your answer. Do you have any dealers by you? The dealers that are always posting here and sponsor the site are more than helpful when its comes to parts. Sorry I cant be more specific.

If its listed as being able to work with your bike then give it a try. Im not sure about bikes in your model year but I know that my '09 WR125 had a different ignition / coil that the '09 CR125. Just food for thought. Glad you got most of your parts!
 
Is this true that the big end bushing is not changeable separately, if this needs to be replaced you will need to rebuild the crank?
