• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where is everyone riding this weekend?

On Sunday, a bunch of us from my local club SDAR will be doing another dualsport around the Idylwild area.:)

Breaking in the new WR300 at a XC course near Shedd Oregon; with my brother along on his KTM 250.

He is a much better rider than I am anymore so he could be on a tricycle and I would still look slow in comparison.

On Sunday, I'll be riding a trail system along the Welland Canal, which runs between Lakes Erie and Ontario. Riding with a friend I met while out riding a couple of months ago.

I won't be riding anywhere on Sunday, but we'll be prepping the bikes and van for a week in Nevada starting on Weds Sep 1st :applause:

Manlayag Hill ... It was one bitchin' hill climb to say the least ....

Zig Zag up a Clarence breaking in the new 310 then Cedar creek at Cessnock next weekend

A couple of us rode over where the NY AMA National Trial was held in June. They just had a District 4, 2 Day Trials there this weekend. We rode the loop and played in some of the easier sections. Would have liked to have spectated earlier, but couldn't get over. Amazing looking at the pro and expert sections.

I raced in the SERA hare scramble opener at the Cornerstone GP in Gardendale, AL....Got 3rd in Vet B, giant turnout that held the start up by an hour...Sweet****************************************! No vid though, GoPro cam acting up, I though I had some great footage only to get back to the truck with no files showing....WTH????

Coming up on the 11th/12th the first track outing of the WR300 and my first competition event in a couple of years. Eddieville (Goldendale, WA) GP race. It is an open course with lots of high speed sections, and no single track. I love riding there when it is dry. If it gets wet the clay turns it into a whole lotta slipping and sliding.

Last time I rode on this track I was on a CRF450X. I think it will be more fun on the WR.

just had a 345 mile weekend!!! 155 DS and 190 dirt. Epic ride weekend. A good buddy I used to work at Fastway with was in from out of town (St Louis) and picked the perfect weekend. he is going home wiped out.

Took a ride up to Ukiah, rode Cow Mountain. It was a good time...except for the drunk guy on the quad who hit me head on because he couldn't figure out how to slow the dang thing down. :banghead:
