  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where can I get Mitas E-09 tires?

I see they sell them in Canada.

I need them for my 19/17 wheeled SM 610.

Anyone know the U.S. distributor?

there are not any Mitas motorcycle tire dealers in USA.

the USA mitas distributor is only interested in selling tractor tires. I called him, he bitched something about midas will not stand behind him if someone takes him to court over motorcycle tires (that are stamped DOT, which I thought was a USA standard?).
There is a USA motorcycle tire website, but it has not changed in a year or so.

I am stuck in this same problem. I want an E-07 (I think that is the number) for my F800, but shipping from Canada is almost $50.00
there is a thread over on ADV rider Where one guy from Germany is saying "changes are coming". But the thread started 1 year ago, and we have seen no changes.

Sounds like Mitas tires are crap. No wonder they don't want to distribute in the US.

Yeah, I read some poor reviews of them.

LOL! I've used them on everything from YZ125, KLX400, KLR650, TE610 and am pleased with them.

And just because they don't distribute to the USA doesn't make them crap. That kinda attitude is hat gives you Yanks the rep you sometime deserve. Mitas has a Euro market plus other countries to deal with.
The USA is not the centre of the universe. I can get Mitas tires locally and in a lot of cases depending on the type of tire, for a lot less money than the usual suspects. If anyone wants the local guy's url, give me a pm. Currently some types of their tires are still on the boat
