• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi everyone, I'm a new member. Crazy about vintage bikes especially Huskys! All my friends think I'm crazy, and tell me not to buy old Huskys because I'll never find parts..... I'm going to see a guy today to buy one of his 2 mid 80's Huskys hes selling, I need advice on which one to buy from you guys, they are both in pretty good shape, one is a WR 250 and the other is a WR 125, the 250 is all there except for the exhaust pie and silencer are missing and needs a top end, the 125 is all there but missing the seat and rear fender (was running but prob needs carb work), hes asking $4OO for each bike. Which one should I buy (I'm partial to 125s) Where can I find exhausts for these bikes?/ Seats, plastic, etc. ??

Phil :excuseme:

Tell him you'll buy 'em both for $650 and let your fingers do the walking on the net. Just about anything can get shipped to your door.
I have 83 430wr, 84 500cr,84 240wr. If you need new plastics etc this is available or used stuff from wreckers. The 250 is a sweet motor, the 125 is more gears and clutch. Depends what you like. All the best with your decision
