• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where are my parts???

Husky John

Husqvarna
B Class
Ordered an air filter and throttle cable three weeks ago. I was told by my local dealer a week to get them in. Went back in a week and the "Order Status" had been changed to "Back Ordered" with no ETA! Anyone else having this problem? One of the parts guys at the dealer said that he "had heard" all the Husky parts were in transition from the BMW parts depot to the KTM parts depot.

As far as I know the parts already moved to the new location, though it is quite possible that some parts still need to come from Italy.

I'm fairly sure you started this thread in the incorrect location, moving to General (Main)

From: General > Get togethers - Planning > West - USA
To: General (Main) - things that do not fit the other categories.

we had a tough time getting throttle cables for terras but did finally get them a few weeks back.have not been able to secure any air filters yet.dan

Yes definitely the wrong location! Sorry about that! Thanks for the info on the parts, makes me feel better that its not just my dealer.

Ordered a CNC fuel connector over a month ago along with a Brembo Clutch master cap and seal, and so far nothing except a shoulder shrug and a blank look. Was able to get cap and seal from another KTM dealer since Brembo master parts are almost universal. NNJ location.

If by fuel connector you mean the elbow for the tank I ordered one from halls and got it in a couple of days.

Things have gotten better in the last week or so we finally got air filters for 650s.however August is here in a few days and we know what Italians do in August...anything but work!dan

"Halls" ? please save me some reading...I'm guessing halls husqvarna somewhere?

My plastic one is still intact, so I have some time to go aluminum.

I ordered some stuff from Halls a little while back. Waiting for a left lower fork tube was on backorder form Husqvarna 3 weeks +. Living in Australia was prepared to wait for the part as the prices here are ridiculous. The boys there offered to dismantle a new fork for me and send the fork from that so I didn't have to wait. Awesome!
