  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Wheel Interchange with a 449/511

Husqvarna
B Class
Can anyone confirm that the wheels off the previous series Huskies: 450 / 510 / 610
fit onto the 449 and 511?

I can try a WR300 to TXC511 swap if the WR wheels are the same as the four strokes.... I will take a close look when I get some time in the garage.

yes, same fit as other 4st bikes

Cool

Along this topic, if I were to get a pair of older wheels/discs/etc, what do I need in order to offset my caliper on the 2013 TE for the larger Husky disc? Does someone make this particular offset bracket or do I need to go to an aftermarket kit with oversized disc and offset bracket?

Aaaaand.....are the offroad hubs the same as the sumo hubs, ie, if I get a set of dirtwheels can I lace 17" rims to them.
Thanks in advance...
I just cant swing $1000 right now for a pair of wheels

The 449/511 hubs are about 2mm wider than the 250/300 hubs. The 450/510 hubs are about 1mm narrower than the 449/511 hubs. They fit.

So I would utilize the spacers for the 450/510s with the wheels when installing them on a 449/511 fork or swingarm?

I can only speak to the WR vs 630 but the 630 is 3mm wider. The wheel fits fine but sprocket is offset 3 mm due to the added material at the sprocket mounting tabs. To use these on the WR I'm going to need to have the extra material machined off, don't think I can line everything up by using different spacers.
I know this doesn't specifically answer your question but might be something to consider if you find an older set of 2T wheels. Then again maybe you could put some 3 mm spacers behind the sprocket and use the 4T sprocket bolts......

Yes, the 2 stokes have different sprocket offsets than the 4 strokes.

I don't recommend this but a buddy cut down a used sprocket and used it as a spacer for the sprocket to use 2 stroke wheels on a 4 stroke. Has held up fine but I don't really like the idea as the offset sprocket does not engage the hub lip any more.

the rear spacing on a 449/511 platform is 2mm different for the sprocket and brake rotor than the 450/510 platform. They will bolt up fine but you will experience weird sprocket wear and brake rotor might rub. You can fix it with a few washers though. I made some fit on my 511.

the rear needs 2mm spacer between rear sprocket and hub, but the front does not fit that easy,
the hub will fit but the brakedisc will be too far out. to make it fit you will have to adapt youre hub ,shorten it by 2mm, this will dammage youre hub permanently so they wont fit on a 510 anymore.
so it is better to buy a new hub(511) and install the rim on it.

Ive decided to go with the warp 9 set for my bike. I can get a great price from my dealer and wont have any concerns about fitment.
Thank for all the replies everyone
