  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My research (looking at some pictures) shows the 2011 WR125 and WR250,s rear wheel drives are on opposite sides. Does anyone know if front and rear from the 125 will fit the 250?

Doubt it- think the 125 rear disc is larger, preventing the axle lining up before the disc bottoms out in the caliper on the 250

Just looked it up, you're right. 125 rear disc 240mm 250 rear disc 220mm. So could I just swap the disc? Anyone know about the front wheel?

as far as i know all of the 2t wheels/hubs are the same from 2000 up.

At some point they switched to larger axles so if you want to use an older wheel on a newer bike you would need different bearings, spacers and seals.

you are correct i have an early wheel for a late spare, the bearings are larger ID
not sure on the 125 but most Italian Husky's wheels swap

The 125 and 250 you have use different hubs on the rear. The 125 hub has thicker sprocket mounting tabs that will cause some chain alignment issues. The fronts are the same.

I swap the fronts and rears between my 09 125 and WR 250 all the time but rotors are different and must be swapped also.
It is the four strokes that have a different (thicker) sprocket flange.
Keep in mind that since the sprocket is on the opposite side that it is best to have a non directional rear tire or else the direction will be wrong on one bike or the other. :)

Ok thanks Fella's, quick and helpful response as always on here.
