Husqvarna
AA Class
It seems that you have not spent hardly any time looking at the ipl illustrated parts list for Husqvarna motorcycles in this section. I think this internet forum way of communication is inferior to an in person parts pile printed parts sheets that used to be on microfilm or on paper. First gear is built into the shaft you need a matching gear to go with it. Only fourth, fifth and sixth are the same 250 wr to 500xc. What year cr500 has the same transmission as an 1984wr250?Ok my used set of 84 250 gears showed up today there wr I figured it out using the '81-'88 charts. Counting teeth. The same wr 6 speed gear set and exact same ratios are used in the 500cr. Ok I figured it out by going through the charts my '87 430 cr is a five speed. Now I have a six speed gear set. The primary ratios are different. The early 500 & 250 gear ratios interchange. The latter is where husky changed the faster desert bikes to slower woods bike.
Maybe if you take a picture of the transmission on the shafts all meshed together I could edit them with arrows. I think we both don't have enough places to go on the internet.
How are the tooth faces and engagement dogs on third gear input shaft and the other things those third gear dogs go against? What number is on that gear? That is more important than what you are contemplating. A 250 wr transmission in a 430 will be just fine, you are not going to get a plate and go many miles to the next section. It will probably still be as "wide" (If not more so) as even the xc-w ktm or 2015 two cycle Husky. I doubt you can buy any useful route sheets from NETRA any more. You would need a plate for that anyway. Edit, I suspect there are recreational ride route sheets in Mass but they are marked, state forests in western, and the one in Plainfield is on the big board at the parking lot. I meant like a number of years ago.
