  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc What to do cracked top triple clamp on 2008 cr125

Is it a 45 mm or a 48 mm I should have one let me know also BRP sells one I have a BRP 45mm on my 2006 WR 250

It is a 45mm stock fork I have on bike, if you want to sell the top triple clamp that would be great. I have a race next weekend that I would like to race bike in. The last couple times I rode bike it felt like steering head bearing were getting loose and had a funky creaking noise from front end. I found it funny that my top nut was hand tight and started looking around and found the crack. Funny it would crack but bike has took a beating over the years. Lets me know what you want and I can pay any way you want. Thanks.

beating and slightly too tight torque setting causes that break most of the time make sure you dont over tighten as some forks internals get pinched up if you hang on the bottom clamp.

I always use a torque wrench to 15 foot pounds but maybe my torque wrench which is old is getting outa wack. I have another used one in mail thanks to Ajax.

The material could have just been fatigued and just let go. At least you caught it before it cause you a major problem.

Just received top triple clamp in mail today look like it should fit perfect. Thanks Ajax, this site is real great as are the people on it.
