• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What the heck is going on with this bike!

Wow, this is a confusing bike. Looks like part of an x-light frame, plastic and swingarm but with a XR 600 (?) motor and twin shocks grafted on the single shock swingarm. Drum brakes and XR fork. What a confusing mess. Anyone got info on this thing?

More like an 84 twinshocker with modern plastics and Honda power.
Note the wheels forks brakes...
But modern swingarm and pivot....
Weird

I wonder where it's from. The dude with the Airoh helmet makes me say EU, but the transports in the backgound makes me say states

DR600 engine, I think. Upwards of that, they are missing the KS? - but, this could have as much as or more than, 800cc internals.

Just typical of Twin Shock class ingenuity.

As for the "transports" etc - Europe - well everywhere, is full of big 18 wheelers with awnings and all sizes down from that. Been that way for decades.

thats a maico front hub forks to maybe the rear looks like yamaha and its got a remote oil cooler this guy had alota parts laying around that seat looks familiar?

That pic come from the vets mxdn held at Farleigh Castle here in the UK I think !!
Over the weekend you get to see quite a few odd ball creations like that, I thought it had a Maico front end but could be wrong.
There are people/companies turning out all sorts, You can go and buy a brand new hand made brazed nickle plated twin shock frame and swingarm to fit what ever form of power plant that takes your fancy such is the demand for this ever growing event.
The best racing and a fantastic group of people / spectators I have ever seen and some of the bikes are a joy to look at such is the workmanship put into some of the builds.
