  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

what jets on stock 2005 te510 ?

Husqvarna
AA Class
gonna go up a size on main and pilot as i reckon i am still a bit lean....bike goes liek stink but a little popping on decel and it has boiled before but a while back and under hot slow conditions...however i reckon it needs upped at least one size..so, whats stock so i can order larger sizes to play with... ps i think these have the fcr 41mm ?

I believe Stock in the FCR41MX was:

Main: 185
Pilot: 55
Needle: OBDVR, at 5th clip from top
Leak Jet: Blank
Fuel Screw: 1.5 turns out

Mine had above jetting (which was too rich for my area).......BUT, that doesn't mean your bike actually has that jetting. Might want to verify that first.

The 510 can boil when working it under hot slow conditions....especially during steep 1st-2nd gear single track climbs, and the decel popping could be reduced by just turning the fuel screw out a little (some light popping is normal)

sounds normal then.... only light popping as you say and yeah , it was slow crappy hills and 90+deg/f so will turn screw out 1/2 turn and check it over.. also, whats the score with the puper adjuster screw ? turn in for more go or out ? i have added an 'o' ring over it and it makes a bigger hit from the bottom... not that it needed it lol...

When you say you added o-ring over it, which screw are you referring to?
Sounds like you are talking about screw in the accelerator pump lever under the black cover.???

Fuel screw is reached off bottom off carb. That's the one that is turned out about 1.5 - 2 turns out (assuming pilot jet is close)........clockwise in for less fuel - counter clockwise out for fuel more

Once the bike is warmed up, I typically adjust it at each ride area to get best idle. An extended fuel screw really helps ease the adjustment

yeah its an o ring over the actuator pump lever..actually pulls it to squirt harder... works well ! depends on how hard you like the 510 to hit ! lol..
